At the beginning, I want to point out an issue associated with quotas for jobs that some media outlets and certain citizens in Bangladesh view as the root cause of the current situation in Bangladesh.Bangladesh\u2019s socioeconomic condition is characterised by significant disparities, with marginalised communities often left behind regarding opportunities and resources. The quota system for jobs was established to address this imbalance by ensuring representation for these groups, including ethnic minorities, women, and descendants of freedom fighters. However, all the quotas were revoked following a student movement a few years back.<\/p>\n
Following a court\u2019s verdict to reinstate the quota system for jobs, students argued during the July 2024 student movement that it had transformed into a mechanism that perpetuated inequality and stifled meritocracy while depriving talented individuals of their rights, demanding an end to quotas for the descendants of freedom fighters. Initially, the motives behind the July student movement appeared straightforward. However, after months of observation, people in Bangladesh are now convinced that the July 2024 movement was a facade aimed at undermining the country\u2019s revered liberation spirit.<\/p>\n
Identifying the mechanisms behind the scenes from the movement\u2019s outskirts proved challenging, as the cunning and ill-motivated student leaders mimicked national sentiments with \u2018meticulously designed\u2019 tactics and conspiracies. At the Clinton Global Initiative\u2019s annual meeting in the United States in September last year, Bangladesh\u2019s interim government Chief, Dr Muhammad Yunus, revealed that the mechanism for ousting Hasina was well planned. Dr Yunus stated, \u201cIt was a meticulously designed thing. It just didn\u2019t happen suddenly. Very welldesigned. Even the leadership didn\u2019t know (him), so they could not catch him.\u201d He unveiled the mastermind behind these actions. By acknowledging this subterfuge, Dr Yunus categorically told us a hidden story of miscreants who are actively conspiring against Bangladesh. However, there is also an immense possibility that Dr Yunus is directly involved in the processes and conspiracy to oust Sheikh Hasina and her government.<\/p>\n
Dr Yunus\u2019s statements regarding \u2018meticulously designed things\u2019 are well supported by substantial evidence, including the extensive participation of the United States in providing financial assistance. In his recent address to US governors at the White House in late February 2025, President Donald Trump articulated that a $29 million US-funded project aimed at strengthening Bangladesh\u2019s political landscape was awarded to a company with only two employees, which was largely unknown. Following the ousting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a US delegation led by Brent Neiman, Deputy Under Secretary of the Treasury Department, visited Muhammad Yunus. Through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), they pledged an additional $202 million in aid, part of a billion-dollar commitment between 2021 and 2026. However, it remains unclear how this aid was allocated and where it has been spent. There is considerable information available regarding aid from US non-governmental organisations, including the Clinton Global Initiative.<\/p>\n
Many world leaders believed that Dr Yunus\u2019s Grameen Bank has the transformative power of microfinance, allowing millions to access credit and enhance their livelihoods. While this remains a debatable theoretical aspect, through Grameen Bank, Dr Yunus has built a strong network and engaged in lobbying with numerous leaders and institutions, some of which have garnered recognition for questionable activities. Dr Yunus leveraged Grameen Bank\u2019s image to achieve his personal goal. It\u2019s also plausible that he could assist the US deep state conspiracy.<\/p>\n
Yunus has been a longstanding family friend of the Clintons, a major contributor to the Clinton Foundation, and is linked to questionable activities with the Clintons<\/a>. As US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was accused of unlawfully using her position to channel over $13 million in grants, contracts, and loans to Muhammad Yunus despite his removal from Grameen Bank. These funds were allocated to Yunus through 18 different USAID transactions. Hilary Clinton pressured the Bangladeshgovernment to halt a corruption investigation into Yunus.Hillary Clinton and Muhammad Yunus have been involved in Bangladeshi politics. During the Padma Bridge saga, Hillary Clinton threatened Bangladesh<\/a> on behalf of Dr Yunus, warning Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that the World Bank might withdraw a previously approved $1.2 billion loan for the Padma Bridge project.<\/p>\n Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros has been a prominent supporter of Dr. Yunus. The East-West Management Institute collaborated with Soros\u2019 Open Society Foundations and received $270 million from the USAID program. Reports suggest that Soros used this money to spread chaos<\/a> in various countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, India, the UK, and the US, as well as supporting contentious initiatives in Albania, Armenia, Cambodia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uganda. Since the change of regime in Bangladesh, Alex Soros, son of George Soros and chairman of the Open Society Foundations, visited Bangladesh twice and met Dr Yunus to discuss strategies for rebuilding Bangladesh<\/a>.<\/p>\n These are just a few examples of the networking and \u2018meticulously designed\u2019 plans that Dr Yunus might use to succeed in his efforts to oust Sheikh Hasina.<\/p>\n
